All About Wedding Details

What to add to your flat lay details box

Before every wedding day, I request that the couple gathers a few special items to create a beautiful scene of your details. This can include all sorts of fun things–even more than I have listed here. But, let’s just jump right in it.

Stunning purple-themed flat lay details from wedding day in Arkansas by Em London Photography

Invitation suite: your invitation, envelopes, stamps, rsvp cards, etc.

Scraps or ribbon that matches your bridal party

Seashells from the beach that your partner proposed at

Ticket stubs from your very first date

Some other sentimental details from your relationship, the possibilities are truly endless here

The wax seal stamp you used on your invitations

A few wax seals (on that same note)

Unique or vintage stamps that match your color palate

Ring tray, dish, or box (I usually bring a couple velvet boxes with me to your wedding as well as a few jewelry dishes just in case they match and we want to add a little extra pizazz)

Your hair pin, veil, or crown

Both sets of shoes or heels

Both sets of rings

Your vow books or private vows

Perfume/cologne

Earrings or other jewelry

Cufflinks

The watch you are planning to wear

Sentimental details from special relatives or loved ones who have passed, like your aunt’s rings, grandpa’s pocket watch, etc.

THE BIGGEST ONE: Ask your florist if they can include some extra florals for the flat lay. Any extra heads-up you can give them, the better.
